BACCHUS OF GOLD

LAVEGUILLA JOVEN ROBLE 2006, and LAVEGUILLA CRIANZA 2005  were recognised internationally being awarded  two GOLD MEDALS in THE BACCHUS 2008 WINE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION  The Union of Spanish Wine Tasters is (UEC) organising the 8th edition of the Bacchus International Wine competition, which includes the participation of wines coming from the main wine-producing countries. Bacchus 2008 was carried out under the auspices of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine and was sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Feeding and the International Association of Oenologysts. It is also part of the World-wide Federation of International Great Wine Competitions (VINOFED), that brings together the biggest 10 world-wide contests of these characteristics, consolidating its international importance. Bacchus began as an annual competition, but it became biannual since 1998, taking place just in even numbered years. From the beginning, Bacchus has grown in both its prestige and the total number of wines and countries participating. In the 2006 edition, 1433 wines coming from 16 different countries, entered the competition as well as wines from Spain (Germany, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Peru, Portugal, Serbia and Montenegro and Uruguay).

AWARDS OF BRUSSELS AND BORDEAUX

This year,LAVEGUILLA CRIANZA 2005 has won a silver medal in the prestigious Intentional Contest of Brussels, last month of April. LAVEGUILLA SELECIÓN 2005 has obtained a silver award in the Challenge Du Vin, celebrated in Bordeaux in April.

4th FAIR OF SPANISH WINES IN WARSAW (POLAND)

The 10th of July, the 4th fair of Spanish Wines in Warsaw was celebrated. It was organizated by Wines from Spain. It was in the Hotel Novotel Centrum, Ul. Marszalkowska 94/98. La Cepa Alta was there, with other Spanish cellars.

LAVEGUILLA TASTING IN MIAMI

The last 29th of May,  a tasting of Castilla Leon wines was celebarated in Miami. The tasting was directed by the prestigious Spanish cook Oscar Galandum. In that tasting, they tried LAVEGUILLA CRIANZA 2005. We are grateful for the assistance of that who came to met us.

LONDON INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRITS FAIR 2008

This year, La Cepa Alta will be in the London Intenational Wine Fari. We´ll be in the South Hall, in the Stand 58, nº 1. It's often been said that the London International Wine Fair is the single most important event in the world wine calendar. For importers, merchants, producers, agents, restaurateurs, wholesalers, sommeliers, in fact everyone whose work brings them in direct contact with wine, no other event offers the same opportunity to taste, meet with suppliers and winemakers and get down to business as the LIWF. For visitors, the Fair can be hugely beneficial. The opportunity to meet with over 1,200 exhibitors from every major producing country all in one place, and to taste the new vintage in a relaxed but professional environment, saves time and money. From UK independent wine merchants, to Scottish restaurant owners, to Swedish monopoly buyers, the London Wine Fair is the best place to find new suppliers, niche labels, new ideas and genuine opportunity. And being a strictly trade-only event, it’s focused purely on building you a better business. We greatly look forward to seeing you at the Fair in May.

WSWA

La Cepa Alta was present in the  65 th Annual Covention and Exposition  WSWA (  Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America) , celebrated in  Las Vegas city ( Nevada, USA ), from the 6 th to the 9 th of April.  The events and the tasting were celebrated in the Paris Hotel and in the Baly´s Hotel.

SALON GOURMET

The last month of April, we were in the Salón Gourmet of  Madrid.  We want to be grateful for the people who approached to our stand.

SHOWROOM BRUXELLES- THE HAGUE

On Monday, 28th of January we were in the Hotel Les Palais Des Colonies, in Tervuren, Belgium, and on Wednesday,30th, we were in the Hotel Steigenberger Kurhaus, in The Hague (Den Haag), in Holand. We were  part of the exposition promovied by Junta de Castilla y León, and organizated by Vinopres. We thank all the people who come and tasted our wines.

SHOWROOM IN MEXICO

The last 25 of september, we were in México DF, and the 27 in Guadalajara, with the Exposition of "Food of Castilla León", promoted by Excal. From this web, we want to thank for the received treatment in both cities.

LAVEGUILLA SELECCIÓN.

Since December, there is in the market LAVEGUILLA SELECCION. 100% tempranillo, vinyards of 35 years, selection at the picking and french oak barrels, make an excellent wine. This is a wine which promises to surprise.

ISO 9001 AND ISO 14000

Recently, Bodegas La Cepa Alta obtain the ISO 9001 certification , and the ISO14000, in accordance with the requirements of these standars. Both certifications show a production, aging and bottling of wine with a big quality, and respect to our enviroment.

TEMPRANILLOS AL MUNDO

In the last edition of the chalenger "Tempranillos al Mundo" celebrated in China, LAVEGUILLA ROBLE  2006 obtained a silver medal. This is the youngest of our wines, in the market since november.

LAVEGUILLA JOVEN ROBLE 2004

During the year 2006, our Joven Roble 2004 was recognised internationally being awarded 2 silver medals. In the 7th concorso internacional de vinos BACCHUS 2006 (Madrid) being the first.. And following up with a second medal at the CONCOURS MONDIAL BRUXELLES 2006 (Brussels). Both these awards give credit and recognition to our Vineyards.
